Huffy says, "ALWAYS BE SAFE, KIDS!"

NEVER play with matches or lighters!

Smoke Detectors - Don't stay home without one!
Buy, Install, and Keep Clean and Replace when needed. Check it monthly. Change the battery annually. A smoke detector is only reliable for 10 years after that - Replace it with a new one. It can save your whole families life!

Cool the Burn with water.
If you have a burn, cool it with water. If it blisters have an adult, or Dr. check it.

Always wear your safety belt! It can save your life, and it's the law!
Make sure that your child's car seat or booster seat in installed properly. Make sure that seat belts & straps go across strong shoulders & hips. Not the stomach! For questions about child car seats: Safe Kids Coalition: (918) 494-SAFE

Maintain Clean and Replace your House Numbers.
Help us find you in an emergency. We have to find you in bad weather, and in all hours of the day and night. If you live in an apartment, talk to your manager about your building and apartment numbers.

Big fires start small! Matches and Lighters are tools not toys.
Fire can get out of control in seconds! If you see matches, or lighters lying around, tell an adult! Never play with fire!

For EMERGENCY calls punch in 911 for help!
This is for the Fire Dept., Police Dept., Ambulance, Lake Patrol, or Sheriff. Stay calm, remember your name, address, and what type of emergency.

Be safe when swimming or playing around water!
Never swim alone, always wear a life jacket when you are in a boat, never run around a pool, always jump in feet first the first time. Never leave your child alone!

Wear sun block when playing or working out side for extended periods!
Protect your self from the harmful rays of the sun, and drink plenty of fluids.

Keep your home and work area clean!
Leaves, trash and clutter are fire hazards, and block your way out in an emergency! Clean up your act!

Fire won't wait plan your escape!
Pre-Plan and Practice Exit drills in your home! You can't hide from smoke or fire. Stay low, plan two ways out of each room, have a meeting spot outside, never go back in, and call 911 from next door.

If there is a fire in your home, crawl low under the smoke, get out fast!
Smoke has poison gasses in it. If you breathe it, it will make you weak, and then pass out! Smoke rises, so the freshest air will be down low next to the floor.

Check your electrical outlets!
Make sure there is not too many things plugged in, keep children away, and use the proper cords.

Always wear a helmet when you are on wheels! Knee and elbow pads are smart too!
Bicycles, skate boards, roller skates, scooters, and motorized cycles all require helmets for safety.
